Letterips from 2002 (fourth part):
I see Sally takes the low road again. What the heck is making Stephanie her maid going to accomplish? How long will she be doing this? Then what, Stephanie worming Sally's dog? Sally could have done the right thing but again chose the path of most resistance. For the first time since Macy died I actually agree with Eric when he told Sally she should get some help for her anger over the death of her daughter.
Please let Stephanie and Eric get back together. She does not belong with Massimo. There is more to him than meets the eye. Anyway, I don't trust him and he is not right for Stephanie. Ridge should know the truth about Mass being his father but he should not be with Stephanie. She belongs with Eric even though he's done some things. There is such a thing as forgiveness.
Every time Sally has an opportunity to show she can be a respectable individual, she always chooses the low road. What she despises in Stephanie, she is quick to adopt in her own actions. I remember Macy hating that attitude in her mother. While I agree Ridge and Eric should be told about Ridge's paternity, I do not agree with Sally being the self-appointed messenger. When Sally doesn't get her way, whether with men or some situation, she acts like a little child, pouting and seeking revenge. I think Stephanie tried to intervene on Macy's behalf with Thorne but he refused to listen. Sally knows Stephanie has always despised Brooke - so it is totally illogical she would have condoned her behavior with Thorne. No, what is going on with Sally is an old fashioned case of jealousy, and since Massimo turned down her tawdry advances, she now feels someone must pay, and however undeserving, she has chosen Stephanie. Sally has always had a case of "social" envy concerning the Forresters because she will never be in the same class with them.
I read with great interest and amusement the differing opinions on Stephanie and Brooke. They are both without a doubt superb in their work. People seem to be of two camps. Either you love or hate each character. To me, Stephanie is such a hypocrite. Applauded for being so good and so sensitive on one hand and then standing up at a news conference no less and being mean and spiteful. Totally uncaring and vengeful character if ever there was one. Brooke bent over backwards (photo album) and thought they had turned a corner. Not so. Stephanie is always eager to stick it to Brooke. I don't think that is the case with Brooke. True, she does things that hurt and upset Stephanie in particular but that isn't her motivation. She is so self absorbed that is just the fallout. On the other hand, Stephanie is cold and calculating in her cruel revenge. Additionally, I hope Stephanie and Massimo make a life together and wed. Even if it's not permanent, it would give Eric a taste of his own medicine. It's not so easy to be stoic when the tables turn. What can I say about Deacon? Love him!
In response to the person who said if Stephanie remembers her other children's names - yes, she does. She supported Kristen with her situation with Tony more so than Eric and she has covered for Thorne many times. Yes, she has favored Ridge but she never forgot the others. She has even wondered if Thorne and Kristen are next on Brooke's list.
Watch out Forresters your house is fixing to crumble down! All hell is going to break loose when this hits the ceiling about Mass being Ridge's father. But, I hope it doesn't go like that. Eric and Stephanie have been through so much together. Let them stay together. Come on Eric, put up a fight and get your wife and son back. He is Ridge's father. He raised him as an child and now he is grown. Come on!
About the storyline with Mass, Stephanie and Eric, I think Steph and Eric should be together. I know they have had some horrible times in the past, but she is only with Mass so he won't tell Ridge the truth. Please let her and Eric reconcile. He will need some support once he finds out that Ridge is not his son! Love the show and keep up the great work!
Stephanie needs to tell Ridge and Eric about Massimo before they find out the hard way. I am sure Brooke's and Stephanie's secrets are going to shake Forrester Fashions to its core but it will be great for us viewers.
Okay, first of all, where does Stephanie get off, judging Brooke? She's the last person to be casting stones after all the crap she's pulled over the years! I'm just dying to see her secret come out about Ridge being Massimo's son. Eric would have nothing to do with her then, and she'd be looking like a fool. I would love to see Queen Stephanie put in her place for once in her pathetic life and see that nobody's perfect, not even her!
Love the romance between Stephanie and Massimo. He is such a dynamic and sexy man for Stephanie. I truly hope we see much more of this love relationship.
Seeing Sally and Stephanie discussing their mutual disdain for Brooke was really touching, especially when Stephanie hugged Sally. They would definitely do better as comrades instead of enemies since they have a common goal in mind, their dislike of Brooke.
The scene between Susan Flannery and Adrienne Frantz deserve a standing ovation. I LOVE your actors! I have tried to watch other soaps, but their melodramatic performances and the way they push the emotions make me laugh. Not on this soap, though! Your actors know how to "be in the moment" and don't over-act. Congratulations to the casting agents on a great job!
I would like to commend the writers on Stephanie's description of how Amber would feel upon learning she lost her baby. After miscarrying three babies myself, I have never been able to describe the feelings I had as well as Stephanie did. The sense of loss, the inability to pinpoint a cause and blaming yourself instead. Kudos to the writers!
I never thought Iīd say this, but I am really loving Stephanie Forrester! As much as I have tried to hate her for treating Brooke like she has, I canīt deny it anymore! Stephanie is becoming my favorite character. Susan Flannery is amazing as always. I am loving the Ridge/Massimo/Stephanie/Eric story so much. I feel that Massimo has the right to be part of Ridgeīs life - but only if that is what Ridge wants. Stephanie should come clean so she can reunite with Eric, whom I feel so sorry for. He doesn't know why Stephanie left him but knows there's more to it than meets the eye. And he stands to lose Ridge as a son. I can understand why Stephanie keeps quiet. But in the long run, I think it will be better if she told them. Only Ridge and Eric. No one else really has to know. They can choose to keep this between them if they like. Thank you Bell and the other writers! I am stuck to the telly every day now thanks to this wonderful story! And kudos to Ronn, Joseph, Susan and John. You are lightning up the screen with your fine talents.
I love B&B but I have a piece of advice for both Brooke and Stephanie. THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE! Now I have never been a Brooke fan. She thinks only of herself and if she cared about her daughter the way she said, then she wouldn't be pregnant with this baby now. Stephanie, I've always had respect for, but her situation is completely different from Brooke's. She had no idea until Ridge's first accident that Eric was not his father. But for both ladies, if you just tell the truth, no one can hold anything over your head. You take away people's manipulative and blackmailing power over you, if they have nothing to use against you. I understand that holding these secrets makes for good television, but with secrets like this there is no way you can't get good old-fashioned drama out of simply telling the truth.
Finally, another Stephanie fan! I am a huge Stephanie fan, and an even bigger Susan Flannery fan. As Stephanie Susan was so mean to Brooke, I felt sorry for Brooke when Stephanie took her to task. Don't ever mess with Mama Bear's cubs. I have loved seeing this gentle side of Stephanie, and her struggle to protect Ridge and Eric from finding out about Massimo being Ridge's father. I don't think it's going to hurt Stephanie for the truth to come out. She already knows the truth. It will hurt Eric and Ridge, but Ridge will get over it too. Eric and Ridge have been through this "Who's the Daddy?" storyline when Bridget was born. So, they will both get over it. Let's face it, there just isn't too much you can throw at Dame Stephanie that's going to keep her down for very long. That's the sign of a true lady. I loved Stephanie's scene with Amber after the baby died. Grace under pressure, that's what she is. Keep up the good work!
Rick as a VP and Amber as Head Designer of Forrester? Give me a break! They are pathetic! Ridge worked years to achieve his status in the industry and I hope Ridge, Sally, Tony and Massimo take over Forrester and give it back to Eric and Stephanie.
As for Stephanie, she's never hesitated to attack Brooke on her low morals and ethics, but Stephanie's done some pretty rotten stuff to others especially Brooke in the so-called name of protecting her family! She should tell Ridge the truth, as by hiding it, she's making a mess of her life and poor Eric's as well.
I just wanted to say that I have become a great fan of B&B and so has my boyfriend. My favorite character on the show is Stephanie. I think Susan Flannery's portrayal is fantastic. She is a very powerful and talented actress. Anyway thanks for providing some great afternoon soap entertainment. I never thought I would say that! Not usually a soapie type. But your show keeps us glued to the TV!
I'm a huge Stephanie fan. She and Sally are brilliant actresses with great characters. I do feel that it's time that Eric find himself a new love interest - that will turn up the heat and force Stephanie to take responsibility for her actions.
I think there is way too much sex on B&B. I love the show, but I don't like the amount of constant sex scenes. Sure Brooke and Deacon are hot together, but enough is enough! This story needs a push forward and Stephanie is the one to make that happen! Brooke and Deacon donīt belong together. Brooke needs desperately to find a non-Forrester, non-married, interesting, new man. Deacon and Bridget should divorce. I feel only disgust for Deacon and I donīt want poor Bridget to suffer too much. And I want to see way more with Eric/Stephanie/Massimo. That is a very interesting storyline that should be explored more. And I think it's about time Ridge and Eric learned the awful truth. Eric should stop complaining and fight a little more. It would be really interesting if Eric and Massimo fight for Stephanie on equal standing. Eric needs some fire and glow. Please write that for John. I used to love Eric that way, not as the meddling patriarch. Come on B&B! Give us some real power for the triangle that is the most interesting on the soaps right now. I, myself, hope Eric can change into the more interesting Eric, like always before, and battle Massimo out where Stephanie is concerned!
This is only a soap opera, but you have a lot of women who sleep their way into money. This is the easy way. A real woman handles her business like my girl Stephanie Forrester and Taylor.
Let the fight for Forrester bring Eric and Stephanie back together, and let's see Ridge bring Forrester back into their hands all 100% of it.
Stephanie is my girl and everything but her anger against Brooke is crazy. I hope that soon the truth will come out about who is Ridge's father and secretly I hope Brooke is the one to break the news to everyone then maybe Stephanie will think twice about hating someone that much!
I love the new manly Ridge. The Massimo/Ridge storyline is great. Stephanie is the best. Her character is strong and I love the Massimo addition to her life. It is time for Eric to grow up and see what he could lose.
Anyone else suspicious that maybe "Erica" is an illegitimate child of Eric's? Especially because today she said she was born in L.A. and the fact that she lives alone with her mother.
