One night, someone broke into Thorne’s office at Forrester and copied the Belief formula. It ended up at Spectra Fashions. Spectra wanted to market Belief as theirs. Forrester’s were suggesting that Spectra stole from them and Felicia was more sure of it than ever when she found a letter from Forrester Creations in Macy´s mail. She showed it to Eric. Sally cancelled her plans to market Belief to save Macy´s marriage to Thorne. Sally angrily confronted Stephanie about a remark she did about Spectra’s inferior products in a publication. Sally lunged at Stephanie who ducked her and Sally ended up in the Forrester pool and was humiliated in front of a laughing Stephanie.
Clarke wanted Sally to take revenge at Stephanie by distributing some of the Belief treated dresses Spectra had produced. Sally wanted to destroy the dresses, but it was too late. The dresses had already been distributed. Eric heard of it and had Macy arrested for stealing. Jake saved her from going to jail by confessing himself to the crime even though he was innocent. Margo convinced Eric not to prosecute her brother. No one found out who stole Belief.
