Up Your Arsenal is the 3rd installment in the Ratchet and Clank series. It is a 3D 3rd person shooter with a huge variety of weapons, and even multiplayer.
Graphics
Some people have accused Ratchet and Clank of being cartoony, but I actually found the graphics better than most games that attempt to be realistic. Faces have emotion, explosions are earth shattering, and money flies around freely. There is only one complaint: When using the Rynocerator, it causes a big white flash that I swear will blind me one day. Otherwise, utter goodness.
Overall Graphics: Very Good
Sound/Music
The blasts of your weapons are great, and their screams, or explosions, depending on the enemy, are also great to hear. The music is good, I just wish it was, actually, this is one of the few games where the music is not overshadowed by the sounds. There's even a separate sound bar for the effects and the music.
Overall Sound/Music: Perfect
Gameplay
Yes, this is the best game play you will find in any game. There are three different control setups if you don't like the default. The Lock-Strafe controls are the best, allowing you to dodge attacks extremely easily, but it gets in the way of platforming. But that doesn't matter, because you can just switch to 3rd person, which works better for platforming. Also, the huge variety of weapons gives you a huge variety of ways to kill your enemies. The only thing wrong is that I found no reason to stop using my favorite weapon until it ran out of ammo, then I would use my second favorite, etc.
Overall Gameplay: Very Good
Story
Okay, so it's no best-selling novel, but it's still funny as hell. Every opputunity is taken to purposefully make fun of the "evil lunatic taking over the galaxy" plot. And there's also some good scenes that involve soap operas... Don't ask.
Overall Plot: Very Good
Overall
This is probably the best game ever for the PS2, so buy it so they can get enough money to make a 4th one!
Overall Score: 5 of 5 Stars
Not downloadable, this is a game sold in stores.
