Mr. B

This is my 7 year old black cat, a neutered male, named Mr. B. (These photos were taken back in 1993, however. I've not been able to scan my newer shots yet.) I've been his keeper for all but 5 weeks of his life, having first fostered him the day I met him when he was brought into the Humane Society back in late 1992. A few weeks later I decided to adopt him outright, figuring that no one else would be able to understand and appreciate his seemingly aloof behavior and finicky moods. His original name was Mr. Boogee, and don't ask me where I got the idea for that name, 'cause I don't know. It just came to me, and I thought it was fitting for a cute 5-week old kitten.

Since then he has acquired many nicknames, including B-cat, Boocat, Mr. Boo, and B.

As I mentioned, he is seemingly aloof. He doesn't particularly like being pet, but he does love to have his neck scratched, and I mean hard. In addition, even though he can be evasive when approached, he seems to like being in the same room with the people in the house. He will follow me wherever I go. He will even push open the door to the bathroom if that's what it takes to be with someone.

Mr. B loves bathrooms. He especially likes to be in them when someone is taking a shower. He really wonders what's going on behind that closed door if he's not allowed in.

Also, he gets to drink the bathwater in the tub when you're done. He loves that.
