Eric Liu:

Holiday Season 2003

It was a time for reunions! Quite a few friends who have moved away from Calgary were in town for the holiday season.

First off, I got together with the guys from junior high! Here, we have Bill (all the way here from Townsville, Australia) and Jon.
Next, there was a reunion of most of my buddies from high school. This shot was taken at Johnson's awesome party. From left to right: Matthew (from Whitecourt), Rob, Johnson, Jeremy (from Toronto), and Aaron (from London, Ontario).

There're more pictures from the party: SSX3, Halo, Halo, and Kevin on Halo (guess what we did most at the party? OK, there was FFX2 as well).

More high school friends: Olympia (now based in Calgary; used to be in Victoria) and Mahdi (from the Boston area). This shot was taken in Chinook Centre.
I also met up with fellow U of C Electrical Engineer Amar (from afar... ok, San Francisco, so not that far, but it rhymes, ok? :-).
My sister, now at U of T, was also back in town to be with family.
And of course, family friends and relatives!
Believe it or not, there was actually some holiday spirit in my apartment (thanks Mom!).
We didn't really have a white X'mas in Calgary, but we certainly got some snow and bitter cold whether in the following week. Here's a shot of the cold quiet night from my apartment.
OK, now watch that transform into a crappy night when a fire alarm in the building goes off at 2am in the morning, and everyone had to wait outside in the -25 degrees C weather. :-) This shot was taken after people were let back into the building.

All in all, a great holiday season!
