Manhiem's Munchies 2
cups whole wheat flour Set aside the cup of flour (we'll use it later for kneading the dough), but mix all other dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together the egg, oil, garlic, peanut butter, and water. Combine the moist and dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed and it forms a ball. On a lightly floured smooth surface, knead the dough for 5 min while slowly adding the cup of flour. Using a rolling pin roll the dough out until it is 1/8" to 1/4" thick (the thinner they are the easier it is to cook all the way through). Using a small cookie cutter, cut out the biscuits and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet. If you don't have a cookie sheet you can use a knife to cut squares (roughly 1x1"), or roll them out into skinny tubes and cut with a knife. Bake at 300° for 1/2 hour. Turn off the oven but let the treats sit for one hour inside (this makes them crunchy). Let the treats cool and serve them up (remember, there's nothing in them that you can't eat so give 'em a try). Also, try freezing them — dogs love cold treats, too. |
