LAKE LOUISE, ALBERTA - Environmentalists opposed to a planned expansion at Chateau Lake Louise are back in court.
The Banff Environmental Action and Research Society, with the help of the Sierra Defense Fund, want to stop a seven-storey convention centre addition to the CP Hotel at Lake Louise.
Margot Venton, a lawyer with Sierra says Parks Canada approved the project on the basis of an incomplete environmental assessment.
Venton says the hearing is expected to take one day but a decision may not be made for several months. In the meantime the planned expansion remains on hold.
