MONTAGUE, Mass. - He's been dismissed from the police force for conduct unbecoming an officer. Unusual because this officer is not a human, he's a canine named Booker.

Booker was the town's police dog. He was suspended in November when he bit a neighbor of his handler during an off-duty altercation. Now he's been fired.

Booker was also accused of being too aggressive during apprehensions. Selectmen voted to send him back to its trainers in exchange for a less aggressive dog skilled in sniffing out drugs.
