DURHAM, N.H. -- A newspaper photographer pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that he interfered with police while covering a Red Sox celebration in Durham.

Foster's Daily Democrat photographer Aaron Rohde entered his pleas at an arraignment in Durham District Court. He's due back in court Feb. 3 for trial.

The photographer said police threw him to the ground, then held him in a van for 45 minutes after he took a photo of a state police dog biting someone's clothing.

Police said he incited the dog with a camera flash and didn't follow an officer's order.

Rohde has been charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with a police dog.
