ANSONIA (AP) -- Ansonia police dog Thor is focus of a complaint. Luis Sanabria says he had surrendered peaceably to police after a fight last August and was kneeling with his hands over his head when Thor latched onto his right arm.

The 46-year-old New Haven man's lawyer says the deep bite hospitalized Sanabria for five days and he still hasn't returned to work. He has filed a notice of intent to sue with the town clerk.

Sanabria and the man he was fighting were both charged with second-degree assault and other charges. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and paid a $250 fine.
