I just noticed the article "dog bites tent resident" from St. Pete times that you posted. I am the "resident" referred to. As I see it there were some things which were not made clear in the article. One thing is that I didn't know there were police there until I had been grabbed by the dog. Apparently the dog was far ahead of the officers and acting on its own, or inadequately controlled. Since the dog attacked me even though I obviously didn't have the scent it was tracking, it could have just as well attacked anyone. That could include very small children who typically would be playing in the immediate area. It appears that there was a serious problem with the training and handling of the dog.
