A Pittsburgh Housing Authority detective charged with being cruel to his K-9 partner has been suspended without pay.
Chief Greg Patterson said Darryl Adams, 45, of Sheraden, was suspended Thursday following the launch of an investigation.
The dog was without access to food or water and had maggots, fly bites and a skin condition.
