Atco Structures' Spruce Grove shop prepared 150 of the 300 modular buildings that will accommodate security personnel for the 2002 G-8 Summit in Kananaskis Country next week.

Atco Structures and Travers Food Services Ltd., two Calgary-based firms that formed a joint venture for the task, announced their role Monday.

What made the job unique was the quick deadline, said Atco chief operating officer Harry Klukas. The units -- with living quarters, kitchen and bathrooms -- were completed and installed in a little more than a month.
