WASHINGTON - U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell will meet with colleagues from industrialized nations next week in Canada to discuss issues ranging from the India-Pakistan dispute to weapons non-proliferation.
Joining Powell in Whistler, British Columbia, will be top Group of Eight officials from Canada, Italy, Germany, Japan, Russia, Britain and France.
The State Department said counterterrorism, the Middle East and Afghanistan also will be discussed.
The meeting will be held in preparation for the G-8 Summit June 26-27 in Kananaskis, Alberta.
