More bilateral meeting with heads of state and officials, while G-7 leaders begin discussions on global economic growth, with Vladimir Putin checking in later on in the morning.
Morning concludes with official photo ops.
Terrorism discussed over lunch, followed by the release of the outcomes on terrorism and the first G-8 working group.
Thursday:
Morning begins with the second G-8 working session, with African leaders and United Nations secretary general Kofi Annan arriving mid-morning.
Most of the day is devoted to the situation in Africa. Annan, Senegal President Abdoulaye Wade, South African President Thabo Mbeki, Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika reluctantly accept the G8's Africa Action Plan which offers far less than they had hoped for.
