   Card Captor Sakura made its first debut as a manga in 1996. It was created by CLAMP, a group of women artists. After the manga grew more popular, the anime was born. To this day the anime is still extremely popular, even though the series have been completed.

          

   The story is about a 4th grader, Sakura Kinomoto, who stumbles across a book called "The Clow" in her father's basement. Unknown to its mysterious powers, she accidentally ends up releasing all the cards from the book. The Guardian Beast of the Seal, Kerberos then appears and appoints her as a Card Captor. He gives Sakura, powers to use to capture the Clow Cards. He remained with her to guide and help her along her task.  

    The series is divided into 3 seasons. The first 2 are the Clow Series and the 3rd is the Sakura Card Series. There are  books in the manga version. Being categorized as one of the best shoujo anime ever created, Card Captor Sakura is definitely worth a watch.
