You take an ordinary alley rodent ; one that feasts on bugs, rotten meat, and other sorted trash items.

You place it in an environment ridden of heavy metals ( not KISS you dummy!), toxins, and other carcinigens.

You place the rodent in a river that has sludge and oils oozing into it, like the Grand Calumet River used to.

Salt to taste, and you have a REGION RAT!
A RAT capable of chewing even through the thickest of Rubbermaid Trash Cans to eat the Pork Chop bones you through out!
A RAT mistaken for medium size puppy or cat because its grown so huge!
A RAT so destructive it makes ordinary rodents seems as harmless as a caterpillar!
