Basic Lightsaber Skills

Basic lightsaber skills are broken down into 21 basic positions. These positions consist of a ready position, 10 blocks and 10 strikes.

Ready Position Hold the lightsaber in front of you with the tip pointing upward.

Block Up Left Start with the lightsaber facing down on your right and move it upwards so that it ends up pointing upward on your left.

Block Up Right Start with the lightsaber facing down and move it upwards so that it ends up pointing upward on your right.

Block Down Left Start with the lightsaber pointing up on your right and move it downwards so that it ends up pointing down on your left.

Block Down Right Start with the lightsaber facing up on your left and move it downwards so that it ends up pointing down on your right.

Quick Block Left Start with the lightsaber facing paralell to the ground pointing away from you and move it downwards so that it ends up pointing down on your left.

Quick Block Right Start with the lightsaber facing paralell to the ground pointing away from you and move it downwards so that it ends up pointing down on your right.

Quick Strike Left Start with the lightsaber facing paralell to the ground pointing away from you to the right and move it upwards so that it ends up pointing upward on your left.

Quick Strike Right Start with the lightsaber facing paralell to the ground pointing away from you to the left and move it upwards so that it ends up pointing upward on your right.

Side Block Left Start with the lightsaber facing down in front of you and move it upwards so that it ends parallel to the ground facing to your left.

Side Block Right Start with the lightsaberfacing down in front of you and move it upwards so that it ends up parallel to the ground facing to your right.

Side Strike Left Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you to your left and move it downwards so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing away from you.

Side Strike Right Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of yout to your right and move it downwards so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing away from you.

Spin Strike Left Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you to your left and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.

Spin Strike Right Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you to your right and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.

Spin Block Left Start with the lightsaber facing up in front and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down to your left.

Spin Block Right Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down on your right.

Strike Up Left Start with the lightsaber pointing down on your right and move it so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing to your left.

Strike Up Right Start with the lightsaber pointing down on your left and move it upwards so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing to your right.

Strike Down Left Start with the lightsaber parallel to the ground pointing to your left and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.

Strike Down Right Start with the lightsaber parallel to the ground pointing to your right and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.

Quick Strike Left	Start with the lightsaber facing paralell to the ground pointing away from you to the right and move it upwards so that it ends up pointing upward on your left.
Quick Strike Right	Start with the lightsaber facing paralell to the ground pointing away from you to the left and move it upwards so that it ends up pointing upward on your right.
Side Block Left	Start with the lightsaber facing down in front of you and move it upwards so that it ends parallel to the ground facing to your left.
Side Block Right	Start with the lightsaberfacing down in front of you and move it upwards so that it ends up parallel to the ground facing to your right.
Side Strike Left	Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you to your left and move it downwards so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing away from you.
Side Strike Right	Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of yout to your right and move it downwards so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing away from you.
Spin Strike Left	Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you to your left and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.
Spin Strike Right	Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you to your right and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.
Spin Block Left	Start with the lightsaber facing up in front and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down to your left.
Spin Block Right	Start with the lightsaber facing up in front of you and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down on your right.
Strike Up Left	Start with the lightsaber pointing down on your right and move it so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing to your left.
Strike Up Right	Start with the lightsaber pointing down on your left and move it upwards so that it ends parallel to the ground pointing to your right.
Strike Down Left	Start with the lightsaber parallel to the ground pointing to your left and move it downwards so that it ends pointing down in front of you.
