Meteosat images are available from several sources, that can be found via Euroweather. At right is a Meteosat image animation of cloud cover over Europe and part of the Atlantic, from MeteoSwiss. It shows the evolution over the past 24 hours, in four (false-color) infrared images spaced 6 hours apart. Date/time of every image is shown in the upper left corner in UTC (add two hours for Central European Summer Time applicable in Belgium). A very similar animation in larger format, also showing country borders for clarity, is available at the website of the Norwegian Meteorologisk Institutt. Watch the animation. |
