SIDE PROJECTS

- Abercrombie
Bassits Cordell Crockett has played with this band for quite some time, playing quite a few ahows in the LA area. The band also featured Erik Philips, one of the founding members of UKJ.

- Airheads - Original soundtrack
Released in 1994, this soundtrack for the movie Airheads features the song Born To Raise Hell by Motorhead, Ice-T and Whitfield Crane. Promoted with a videoclip showing the band playing live in front of an audience, the song made it into the charts in various countries.
- Amen
After UKJ split, drummer Shannon Larkin joined LA punk-metal band AMEN. The bands released two albums (AMEN and We Have Come For Your Parents) and frequently toured the US and Europe before most of the original members left the highly underrated band.
- Glenn Tipton
Shannon Larkin plays drums on half the tracks of Glenn Tipton's (Judas Priest) solo album Baptizm Of Fire. Whit Crane doesbackground vocals on the track Voodoo Brother.

 
- Legends Of Metal - A Tribute To Judas Priest (Volume 1)
Released in 1996, includes the track Burinin' Up by Doom Squad, featuring members of Anthrax and Whit Crane.

 
- Life Of Agony
After UKJ split, singer Whitfield Crane replaced Keith Caputo in the New York hardcore/metal band Life Of Agony. They succesfully toured the US and Europe in 1998, but Whit was kicked out again during the recordings of LOA's new album.
- Medication
In 1999, Whit started rock/metal band Medication with Logan Mader (Machine Head/Soulfly), Blunt (Adayinthelife), Kyle Sanders (Skrew) and Roy Mayorga (Soulfly). They released a self-titled EP and a full-length album called Prince Valium which both sold unsufficiently. Early 2002, the band quietly called it quits.
- Nativity In Black - A Tribute To Black Sabbath
This Black Sabbath tribute albums was released in 1994 and features the song N.I.B. covered by Ugly Kid Joe. This is the only official UKJ recording featuring Bobby Fernandez on drums.

 
- See Spot Groove
Roger Lahr's band after he left Ugly Kid Joe was See Spot Groove. The band released one album called Greatest Hits, sometimes sounding like UKJ's funkier side, but best described as Beastie Boys meets James Brown with Marshall Amps.

- Snot/Strait Up
Guitarist Dave Fortman plays on the song Deadfall on Snot's album Get Some. Furthermore, Drummer Shannon Larkin has played some live shows with this band. When Snot singer Lynn Strait tragically died in a car accident, the remaining members of Snot recorded the band's second album, Strait Up, with various guests, including Whit Crane, Klaus Eichstadt and Shannon Larkin.

- Thunderbolt - A Tribute To AC/DC
This tribute album includes two songs with Whit Crane, Klaus Eichstadt and Shannon Larkin: Live Wire and Ride On. The album was released in 1997, right before UKJ broke up.
