A Little Introduction and History: John Frusciante was the Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist for the making of two of the most popular Red Hot Chili Peppers albums: Mothers Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik. While on the BSSM Tour in Japan, John suddenly quit the band. The Peppers struggled with a number of guitarists until 1998, when John rejoined the band and helped to create their newest album: Californication.
There were many rumors regarding John during his five years out of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. An L.A. magazine reported that John spent his entire time using heroin, and playing guitar.
One thing is for sure, John played the guitar while he was away from the Peppers. He released a solo album, Niandra Lades and Usually Just A T-Shirt. This is no ordinary solo-album. This solo album features John on lead guitar, backup guitar, and vocals. He recorded the entire album in his apartment!
