In Loving Memory Of

Robert Emerson Munson

January 25, 1963 - November 1, 2002

Robert Emerson Munson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 25, 1963

to the proud parents Kenneth B. Munson and Elaine C. Munson.

The oldest brother of three, Robert "Bob" was a wonderful brother, son, and friend.

He was kind, caring, and thoughtful and liked and loved by many.

Bob was a member of the boy scouts, and loved to play softball and basketball.

Bob loved and studied the martial arts and by the age of 16 had earned his third degree

black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He started teaching martial arts to other neighborhood children

and school friends that had the passion and desire to learn. He always stressed that Tae Kwon Do

was for self discipline and self defense only, for even then he had a strong passion for the

law and the well being of others.

Bob attended high school at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City Oklahoma

and graduated in the class of 1982.

After completing high school Bob joined the Army.

Bob left the Army to pursue his career in law enforcement. He studied at

Platt College and obtained his life long dream to work with the police

and other law affiliations.

Bob moved to Watonga, Oklahoma in 1993 and in May of 1999 married his wife Cindy Weber.

In July of 1999 he obtained his dream of becoming Chief of Police of Langsdale County

in Oklahoma. He loved his wife and family, dogs, and job.

In October of 1999 Bob had his first heart attack. He worked hard to continue his career,

however regretfully stepped down from his position when he was no longer capable.

In addition to being an excellent husband and father, a wonderful son and brother, and a great friend,

he was a youth counselor and member of the Lutheran Church in Watonga.

He influenced and changed many lives and will not be soon forgotten.

Robert Emerson Munson, my brother will always be remembered by me as a loving caring person.

He gave so much of himself to all that he knew and loved.

He was preceeded in death by his nephew and my son, Ronald Emerson Munson,

and father Kenneth Benard Munson.

He is Survived by his mother Elaine Munson-Brown, sisters Jeanne' Ledford and Marilyn Luper,

wife Cindy Munson and one son Joshua and two daughters Melissa and Katherine.

He will be missed by all of us as well as life long friends, Jeff Trousdale, James Hand, and Jerry Smith.

I want to give a special thanks to Deanna and Jerry Smith for the lovely pictures they contributed to our family. Without your generosity we would not have these beautiful pictures to share with all.

Love Forever and Always

Love Jeanne' Ledford
