Hello, I'm Marigold, also known as Mari and Murry. I am beautiful as you can clearly see. I have always been the prettiest and sweetest of my litter. My sister Holly has some sort of Napoleon complex. She is small and wants to take over everyone! My brothers Bally and Caz like to argue over who should be in charge. I don't care. Who needs to be in charge of everyone... too many headaches. I'd rather hang out with the humans!

I went to live with my brother Bally and my aunt Eris because their mom (now my mom) has always thought I was wonderful (who wouldn't!). Plus, I wanted to live with fewer dogs. Everyone tries to order me around. It gets old after awhile.

Mom Ingrid said something about Lure Coursing. What is that? She said we went. I don't know, we went to a field, Eris ran around like an idiot, Mom was saying "Mari, get the bunny, get the bunny". Uh... sorry, I just didn't get it. I didn't see any bunnies.

I really love my people. I like to snuggle up next to them on the couch. I can put my head on them and it is so snuggly. Snuggly is good. I always try to pat them like they pat me. Mom likes to scratch me on my head, so I tried to scratch her head too. My aim was a little off and I got her nose. She said "Ouch Mari that hurts". Oops! I just can't seem to reach the top of her head, but I'll keep trying.

I also get to snuggle with my aunt Eris. Eris and my mom Amber have the same mom but different dads. Eris is really sweeter than my mom. I guess that is the difference between a mother who always has to tell you what to do and an aunt who can just be your friend. Eris is snuggly. I like to go over and lie down next to her. Sometimes, I will put my head on her and use her as a little pillow. That is good too. I like having a friend to hang out with all the time. Plus, Eris never tries to eat my dinner, unlike some members of my family (ahem, brother Bally).

My favorite trick is to "sit up" just like a trick dog. However, I taught myself that one. I will sit and then paw at someone until they hold my paws. Then I sit up. Neat huh? My other favorite thing to do is to eat paper. I like paper. I like to look for paper to eat. I'll eat tissues, if I can find them. I have also tried to eat the power bill and library books. Mom and grandma weren't happy about those. I don't see the harm personally.

In September 2001, I had a litter of 7 puppies. None of them live with me. That's okay. They send pictures sometimes. That's fine with me, I don't need anyone else taking up my couch space!
