Yes... ...No
I LIKE: dimes (hate nickels), tulips and zinnias, anything in the Italian ice/sorbet/granita/Slurpee/non-dairy smoothie/juice bar/Pop-Ice/Popsicle species of foodstuffs, good speaking voices, Pimm's, chocolate croissants, opera curtain calls, the PBS "Be More Passionate" promo where the guy smashes his cello, Sophie Thompson more than Emma Thompson, grape Laffy Taffy, corgis, Lake Michigan, cemeteries, benches, anything in the oblaten/cialde/gaufrette/pizzelle/tuile/waffeln family of thin, slightly sweet cookys--even empty ice cream cones, decaying old-fashioned seaside architecture/greenhouse architecture/spa and watering hole architecture and Gladys Knight's version of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" more than Marvin Gaye's. I DISLIKE: nickels (love dimes), being dunked, hardened globs on end of lotion dispensers, TV ripped from the headlines, Bryan Adams, over-toasted toast that scratches the roof of your mouth, the questions: "So what do you do for fun?" and "What are your hobbies?", most shellfish, pulpy orange juice, hot humid weather, institutionalized fatphobia, lonely Friday nights, the smells from city drains, people with no physical or emotional imagination, sci-fi, being forced onto the dance floor before I'm ready to boogie, pickles, ill-fitting bras, my ever-increasing collection of passwords necessary for daily life, those ubiquitous motherfucking molded outdoor plastic chairs, tailgaters, weight loss surgery, the nudity double-standard in film and that fucking Yoplait commercial with that fucking chick.
