My Own Poems
   WHAT MORE CAN I GIVE?
      BY ERLAN P. DELUVIO
(A poem dedicated to my dad who died on Feb. 10, 2003)

What more can I give
When all the shades have come to fade;
In the world of toil and haste
The trav'ller must stop and rest.

What more can I give
When the world has ceased to spin;
When the trees have lost their leaves
And no more rain to wash them fresh.

What more can I give
To the brave warrior that cedes;
When he dropped his sword with blithe spirit
With God, he breathed his last in peace.

What more can I give
When all the triumphs gone to nil,
When all I have left is love to keep
What more precoius is there to give...?
