INTRODUCTION:
SUPERBOY returns for a Second Season in 1989 and starts off with some major character changes. John Haymes Newton is no longer the boy of steel, the role has now
been awarded to actor Gerard Christopher (whose real name is Jerry Dinome). Christopher brought a new and more nerdy likeness to Clark Kent than Newton's first season
portrayal but the clumsy sometimes just plain goffy antics of Clark are quickly forgotten when Gerard becomes Superboy. As the new boy of steel, Christopher won over the
majority of the current audience as the best of the two Superboy's. His natural looking and comfortable warmth as Superboy along with the series' new story lines also brought
in many new viewers, allowing the show to climb in popularity - quickly surpassing the low ratings hold that befell on Season ONE and reaching high claim for a syndicated
series. Stacy Haiduk returns once more as the beautiful Lana Lang. But, T. J. White was cut from the series and the character of Andy McAlister was now Clark and Lana's
new companion. Regular guest star Scott James Wells from Season ONE was also replaced by an older version of Lex Luthor portrayed by Sherman Howard (who is the best
Luthor ever) in my opinion. Lex's pal Leo (Michael Manno another regular from the first season) is killed off by a comically twisted Luthor himself and replaced by Darla who
becomes Lex's new assistant and girlfriend. Season TWO also brought new characters from DC Comics to the show and was overall by far a shaping Season for the series.

world. Lex's fun doesn't last too long though because in the meantime Superboy has
faced his worst challenge yet ... recovering his lost strength. Still a bit weak, he
boldly confronts Luthor in order to rescue Lana. Will the boy of steel fall into yet
another of Lex's traps or could this spell the end of Luthor once and for all?

Superboy and Lana befriend Dr. Byron Shelley (a young vampire) who has built up
an immunity against his curse with the creation of a serum. But his father has
sent a powerful old vampire to reclaim Byron to the dark side. Can Superboy face
this dark magic being or will he fall under his spell?

Andy and a human Superboy to fend for themselves agianst the creatures' traps. Will
Superboy be able to rescue his friends without his powers? GREAT EPISODE !!!

An alternate clone of Superboy is created when he's hit with a beam from a duplicator
ray after its struck by lightning. When the smoke clears Superboy and Prof. Peterson
find the creature in the duplicate chamber. He calls himself Bizarro after a reference
is made of the "bizarre" situation. Armed with all of Superboy's powers, Bizarro
overcomes the teen of steel and escapes from the room. He then tries to make friends
with the folks in town but is only seen by the townspeople as a scary monster. Next
Bizarro disguises himself after remembering that he is secretly "Kent Clark" and he
then fools Andy and Lana into thinking it's only Clark in a costume. Meanwhile
Superboy has learned from Prof. Peterson that Bizarro is an unstable duplicate and
could explode at any moment. The boy of steel is forced into finding a way to destroy
the closest thing he's ever had to a brother against his own wishes, by using the
deadly force of Kryptonite against the thing of steel. Bizarro has now discovered his
and Superboy's shared feeling for Lana and kidnaps her. Can Superboy stop this
monster or will he meet his match in his own imperfect clone?

With Superboy down, Bizarro has taken Lana to an old store where in his twisted mind
he plans for them to live together. He believes they are "young and in love" and Lana
has a nice emotional scene with the monster about feelings once she warms up to him.
She even takes up Bizarro's offer and dances with him ... but all good things must end
and they do when the police force rain in on the thing of steel's parade and surround the
store ... demanding that he release the girl and come out. Bizarro does come out only
after secring Lana in a safe place ... believing he's protecting her from them. He then
plows through the front door and lays waste to the police department's efforts to stop
him. Luckily Superboy has recovered from the last encounter with Bizarro and arrives
on scene to confront him. The fighting between the two super-beings begins and Bizarro
knocks Superboy down long enough for him to make an escape with Lana. The fighting
starts up again when Superboy follows his deadly double through the sewers and up into
an amuzement park where Bizarro believes he's home after seeing some clowns. This
battle with Superboy leaves the thing of steel smoking and he's ready to explode. But,
he has captured Lana once again. Prof. Peterson arrives with newly developed Bizarro
Kryptonite and instead of killing him it cures his unstability. In the brief confusion
Lana escapes and rushes to Superboy's side. Bizarro now learns that he was wrong for
taking her and that she belongs with Superboy. A remorseful Bizarro apologizes for the
things he's done and leaves Earth in good terms between himself and Superboy "his
brother." This is a great double episode. The Bizarro Storyline is one of my favorites.

Mxyzptlk returns and this time he's in over his head. A huge imp named Vlkabok
is seeking revenge for a spell placed on him by Mxyzptlk. With the fear of being
killed, Mxyzptlk pleads for Superboy's help. An imp that is a citizen of our realm
can't be harmed by one from the 5th dimension. And Mxyzptlk knows just how to
convince Vlkabok --- by having Superboy and Lana pose as his parents. Can this
twisted new family prove itself in the face of Vlkabok's skepticism or will he learn
the truth and take them all out for good? Funny episode!

hostage. Angered of Jack's betrayal in alerting Superboy ... the robot plans to use the
city's power supply to kill the teen of steel while he annahilates Jack and his distant
son Will this maniacal machine end up frying Superboy and killing an innocent
Andy in front of his father as a twisted revenge?

Disguised as a pair of nun's in distress, Lex Luthor and Darla lure Superboy into a
trap where Luthor zaps him a strange yellow ray. After coming around, the boy of
steel's body temperature begins to rise and his powers soon become hard to control
and his body is deadly to the touch. With Superboy soon under the care of Prof.
Peterson, Lurhot visits him late one night promising to return him to normal with a
second dose of the ray in exchange for a full pardon by the state. Superboy disagrees
but the governor reluctantly complies to the pardon in order for the teen of steel to be
restored to the way he was. Has Luthor finally devised a plan genious enough to escape
justice and will Superboy's deadly touch ever be lifted?

A very powerful android is sent back in time to kill Superboy. But, a scientist from the
future evens up the odds by sending the lovely Serene back to warn the boy of steel of
the android's mission. Armed with the knowledge of who Superboy really is, Serene finds
him quickly and takes a liking to him. Claiming to be one of his decendant's from the
future she captures Clark / Superboy's interest. The android also finds the teen of steel
and matches him in strength and powers. Can Superboy and his beautiful new
companion be enough to stop the android? And could Serene's mission have a darker
twist than she cares to admit? Wonderful episode !!!

to try and make the rocks safe for Superboy to be around, the boy of steel turns BAD.
And it's up to the government to try and stop him ... by enlisting the help of someone
else with super powers ... METALLO. In exchange for his freedom, Metallo finally
agrees to help and his body is powered back up by Krptonite. But, will the ex super
villain keep his end of the bargain and bring the boy of steel in or could he team up
with a bad Superboy and create an ustoppable team?

A plain-jane waitress, Loretta is transformed into a beautiful ancient peri by a spell
from a book which awakens a magical spirit named Gazook which comes to life in a
rag doll. Yellow Peri desires the attention of Superboy and uses her powerful magic
to try and win his heart. But his feelings are shown toward someone else (Lana) and
isn't affected by the spells. Crushed that she can't have the one she so fancies, Yellow
Peri (with the encouragement of the dark Gazook) is now bent on destroying the boy
of steel with deadly powers. GREAT Episode ... I really like this one !!!

Hector Hornsby was a brilliant young inventor who desired the affections of Lana Lang.
And he knows just how to capture her attention ... by becoming like the man she loves,
Superboy. Hector uses his latest invention to absorb microwave energy and convert it
into powers of his own including the ability to fly. But he soon learns the hard way that its
not powers or a cape that attracts Lana to the boy of steel. Now with his body emitting
dangerous energy fields ... Microboy (the loser with nothing left to lose) has Lana and
Superboy in his sites. Can Superboy survive Microboy's energy fields long enough to save
Hector from his now uncontrollabe powers and will he find a way for Hector to ever return
to normal?

Dr. Byron Shelley is back along with his ancient curse of being a vampire. This time his
serum has been taken by thugs after confronting them on the road. Leaving Byron
defenseless, his dark curse takes over and he lures Lana into a trap where he seals her
fate with a magical bite. When Superboy arrives to look for her, Lana in turn bites him
at Byron's encouragement. The curse begins to turn the boy of steel, since even he is
vulnerable to dark magic. To make things worse, Bryon plans to use the now weakened
Superboy as a peace offering between him and his father Count Dracula. Can the boy
of steel's strong will for good be enough to overcome the deadly vampire's curse?

An evil Prodo (sorceror) is controlling the actions of zombie like creatures who become
infected with the disease by a simple scratch. Andy suffers a scratch from one of the
creatures at a ballpark but luckily a mysterious healer named Brimstone arrives and gives
him a dose of a potion to stop the sickness from spreading. When Superboy catches up to
the creature and tries to calm him down he is forced by Prodo to scratch him as well.
Everything falls into Prodo's plan and he soon has control of the infected Superboy who
he plans to use to help him kill his old enemy - Brimstone. Lana finds Brimstone from an
address he gave her at the ballpark and asks for his help but will his magical mixtures be
enough to save Superboy from the sorceror's spell and stop Prodo?

Superboy's Kryptonian parents Jor-El and Lara come to Earth looking for their son. When
they meet him they explain that he is Kal-El, their child and tell him things about his past.
The two possess the same powers as Superboy and even help him stop terrorists from
exploding a bomb. Happy to learn of his past Kal-El decides to return to Krypton with his
true parents when they ask of him to. But he must say his heartfelt goodbyes to the only
family he's ever known ... the Kent's. Something just doesn't set right with Johnathan
about the whole thing and in the meantime, Jor-El and Lara kidnap Lana and Andy. Is there
more to these strange visitors than meets the eye? And will Johnathan be able to stop Clark
from leaving Earth or will Superboy fall into the aliens' trap?

With Superboy blind to the fake Jor-El and Lara's sinister plans and now with them on their
space ship, he quickly learns he has been tricked and that they have Lana and Andy held
captive. As the hard truth sets in, the alien pair place Superboy in a containment cell of his
own while he tries to free his friends. The fake Jor-El and Lara then reveal their true selves,
a hideous alien couple named Vor-Ak and Mur who can assume the shape of any living being
and posses the powers of the ones they immitate. Vor-Ak and Mur are also collectors of
specimens that they use to fill their gallactic habitat environments. In one of these habitats,
they plan to place Andy and Lana to spawn a race of their own while keeping Superboy as their
prized trophy but the boy of steel breaks free of his containment cell just as the aliens
teleport his human friends down to their new habitat. Now in a strange similation of the Earth,
Lana and Superboy (who the aliens permanately transformed into Clark) just before he left
the ship learn that Andy is missing from the group. But Lana has uncovered a bigger secret
about Clark being Superboy and is even a bit angry of him for keeping the secret from her all
these years. Clark explains to Lana the best he can about why he kept his identity hidden but
she is still mad. He then learns that they are surrounded by an invisible force field and in the
end he convinces Lana to come with him and explore their new cage. Will this change things
between Lana and Superboy for good and will they find Andy and escape this strange habitat
before Vor-Ak and Mur can stop them from escaping back to Earth?

Superboy saves the life of a beautiful young rockstar named Jessica James from an attempt on her life
after a concert. Jessica is grateful to him and treats the boy of steel to dinner and a night out in
appreciation, she also displays a loving attraction towards him. A drunken Jessica makes a move towards
him when Superboy escorts her back to her room but being the noble being he is, he doesn't allow anything
to happen between them. He tells Jessica she can thank him by giving his friend Clark Kent an interview
and she agrees. The next day Clark goes to interview Jessica but finds an older wheelchair-bound woman
who protests that she is really Jessica James or at least her voice talent. After throwing around a few hints
Clark discovers the woman is really Venus Smith, a rocker who everyone thought died in an accident and she
has the scars to prove it. Later, in a meeting with her new pal Superboy, Jessica James tells him that she will
sing herself in the next concert. When the night of the big show rolls around Jessica ends it with an old Venus
Smith song "Be True To Yourself" which she sings without Venus' voiceover. Angered by Jessica's solo debut
and jealous of her youth and beauty, Venus who is watching from offstage controls a hidden laser to cut away
a stage light that comes crashing down. Clark changes into Superboy and saves catches it but Venus reaims
the laser and strikes Jessica as he sets it down. After being true to herself and debuting her own voice talent
Jessica James dies in Superboy's arms.

An inventive toy loving *slash* wacky genius named Nick Knack is sprung from a correctional facility by his
pen-pal girlfriend Daisy. Nick Knack's ultimate goal is to have revenge on Superboy for capturing him. With
Daisy's help, Nick Knack uses a metallic meteor alloy to capture the boy of steel. He then drains Superboy's
powers and transfers them to his ultimate toy "the robotic super suit". Leaving Superboy behind to let him
know how it feels to be normal, and under the care of the kind Daisy, Nick Knack tears out of the place in
the super powered suit enroute to the nearest gold reserve. Will Superboy convince Daisy to free him so he
can stop Nick and can he go up against the robotic creation with his powers in his weakend condition ?

Andy's uncle Nate McAlister is letting him stay the weekend in his mansion while he's away. When he arrives
at the spooky old place with Clark and Lana, Andy tells them of a distant relative who was a Marshal in the old
west and how the house was passed down from McAlister to McAlister to his uncle Nate. And how his paranoid
uncle had the house rigged with dangerous booby traps and secret passages in fear of ghosts and laughs it off.
But when Clark gets lost from the others and Andy finds an empty old gun, he pretend fires it at a mirror
but a real bullit escapes it and shatters the mirror sucking Andy and Lana into it. Clark who heard the whole
thing from inside the wall changes to Superboy and flies in after them. When Superboy catches up to them,
he and the others find they are in a dark ghost town and the mirror / doorway closes them in. They also find
that three ghosts are now on the other side in the room where they were. The ghosts plan to caputre Nate
McAlister and put him in as well and then capture other people to replace other ghosts until all of them are in
the living world. Can Superboy and his friends escape the ghost world or will they be stuck behind the mirror
forever?

Ariana and her mate Charlie come to the surface world from Atlantis but when it comes time to return,
Charlie tricks Ariana into returning to her shell form and going back to the deep by herself. Lured by the
delights of the surface, Charlie settles down as a normal human. Years later, Clark, Andy, and Lana are
enjoying a day at the beach when Lana happens to find Ariana's shell in the water and keeps it. That night
the spirit of Ariana awakens and enters Lana's body and takes control. After a sexy makeover, Ariana uses
her new body to go in search of Charlie and to have her revenge. Clark is working on the story of a bar
brawl and learns the culprit fits Lana / Ariana's description which leads him down to Charlie's boat at the
marina. Ariana also finds Charlie and attacks demanding he return with her to the deep. After a battle with
Superboy and a refusal by Charlie, Ariana is beaten and heartbroken and Lana's spirit is nearly gone. Will
Superboy be able to save Lana's drained body from Ariana's grasp?

Nick Knack is back and this time he has a new invention that can read peoples minds and show what they are
thinking on a screen. His test subject is Daisy but he leaves the machine on for too long and it kills her. He
makes her into a zombie-like pull string doll. After working out the bugs, Nick Knack plans to use the device
on Superboy' friends, Clark, Andy, and Lana to read their minds and discover his weeknesses and secrets.
Nick Knack captures Andy and Lana after using a subliminal message against them and attaches them to the
machine. He must learn all he can from them in less than an hour before they end up like Daisy. Will Clark
discover where his friends are in time to save them?
