The Beautiful Lakeshore!

Daddy is getting carried away with this running thing.
Every Sunday he gallops downtown and back for his long run.
He runs mostly along the lake shore because it's pretty and because there aren't too many cars.
He is also quick to point out that while any of the pictures here may not be too exciting own their own,
the fact that one can observe such diverse scenery over a 9 mile run is rather neat.

This is the pedestrian bridge over the Gardiner Expressway which takes Daddy from the neighborhood to his favorite running locale.

This is a view of the Gardiner from the bridge.
Traffic volume is light because it is a Sunday.
During rush hour, the Gardiner is the largest parking lot in North America.

The first real attraction on Dad's run is Ontario Place.
It's some sort of amusement park on an island.
Daddy isn't too sure what exactly is there, but whatever it is costs a fortune to see.

They have these cool looking walkways that get you from the mainland to the island where the amusement park is.

Just past Ontario Place is the HMCS Haida.
The Haida was part of the fleet that invaded the Normandy beaches on D-Day.
Daddy is sort of a pacifist but admits that running past a 50 year old battleship is pretty cool.
