It's Turkey Day!
Being a Canadian kid with American parents, I have the good fortune of being able to celebrate Thanksgiving twice each year.
Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October.
We were more than anxious to celebrate.
Sunday night we went to the home of some friends and ate turkey there.
This picture was taken upon returning home. I was a bit tired from all the festivities.
On Monday Daddy went bonkers in the kitchen.
There's corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and rolls in the oven, and cranberry sauce,
a storebought pumpkin pie, and a homemade apple pie in the fridge.
Of course there's also the 4.285 kg turkey all golden brown waiting to be carved and consumed.
Yummy. Our first thanksgiving meal as a family.
Mommy gave me a buttered roll.
She also gave me mashed potatoes and gravy.
It got a little messy.
Let's have a little water to wash this all down.
