My Toronado
This is my on going Toronado restoration project. The body is pretty good except some rust holes that I have already fixed. After a short while I'll have it painted.
A Toronado 73 that I found on the net....

My Toronado
This Toro was parked in a garage for four years till I gave her life. It was in a pretty good shape considering her 30 years of age. Engine, trany, accessories, interior etc were very good. The major problem was the rust holes around the car.
The first step was to tow the car to my place. Then... New battery, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, induction coils, points, capacitor, oil, filter and coolant...
Start! Roaarrrr! Man I have a locomotive in my garage....
I realized that cv boots were gone but axles were good. It was really a hard time finding 1-9/16 socket 3/4 breaker bar for the hub nut. Replaced cv boots.
Then I started working on the body..
Here are the pictures before and during the body work...
I can put my leg through the holes!!! :):)
Got some galvanized sheet metals. Cut rusted areas. Welded behind the holes. Filled and shaped with body filler. Then:
Tea was always my companion... :):)
