<< In Loving Memory of Mark Greene by Gary Collins >>

In Loving Memory of: Dr. Mark Greene (1962-2002)
Episode: "On The Beach"
What Happened: Longtime attending physician, Dr. Mark Greene had left County General Hospital ((after 8 years on ER)) with absolutely no point in return because everybody who knew him would know that he was dying, so he took his daughter, Rachel in Hawaii to where he was growing up and was teaching her how to drive, to surf and even to know who sing songs.  Also, Mark was confronting to Rachel what parent/guardian is going to try to keep her from killing herself after he found she was on drugs because she would understand that he didn't have that much to live.  After surfing, Rachel had found her father in a grand mal seizure and her husband, Elizabeth came to badger him about taking him back to Chicago to see a Neurologist where he can get a CAT scan followed by an MRI, but he refuses and early in the morning, he dead.  Everybody who knew him and loved him over the years paid tribute to a very good friend who was an overworking doctor.
