BURBANK, Calif. -- June 12, 2002 -- As NBC’s classic series “ER” (Thursdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) nears its landmark 200th episode next year, the Emmy Award-winning drama will allow viewers to choose their all-time favorite episodes in special online voting to be conducted beginning June 13.

The top five episodes -- as ranked by audience members by voting from June 13 through July 4 -- will be broadcast in ascending order starting Thursday, July 11 (10-11 p.m. ET) with the final, number-one episode to be presented on Thursday, August 8 (10-11 p.m. ET).

Interested viewers can participate by logging on to www.NBC.com/ER. A promotional button on the “ER” main page will direct them to the word “Vote.”

Among the 17 vintage “ER” episodes to be included in the list of candidates are the first season’s “Motherhood” (Dr. Benton, played by Eriq La Salle, sees his mother die) as well as “Union Station” (Greene, played by Anthony Edwards, tries to catch Dr. Lewis, played by Sherry Stringfield, to confess his love before she leaves town).
