eryka.com -- history page
where women from 18-40 years old can riff or rave on everything they've ever read EVER -- re history.
Featured review:
Well, I have to admit I haven't read as much history and theory and such since I graduated from college as I should, but if I had to choose one book (and I do, since I decided to have this as a subsection), I'd have to chose Linda Nochlin's Women, Art, and Power. Pretty much a feminist pioneer in art history and theory, Linda Nochlin was the first to really explore the question of women artists in history. Not only does she deconstruct women and art, but she has a few salient points on class and social issues as well. This book ROCKS...if you can find it (it's out of print). All the essays in this book are fabulous. Highly recommended.
