CONCEPTO
Son sociedades anónimas de capital variable constituidas mediante concesión del Gobierno Federal, para facilitar las transacciones con valores y procurar el desarrollo del mercado respectivo.
FUNDAMENTO LEGAL
ARTÍCULO 30.- Para la operación de las bolsas de valores se requiere concesión, la cual será otorgada discrecionalmente por la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público oyendo al Banco de México y a la Comisión Nacional de Valores. El otorgamiento de la concesión se resolverá en atención al mejor desarrollo y posibilidades del mercado, sin que pueda autorizarse el establecimiento de más de una bolsa en cada plaza.
OBJETO SOCIAL
ARTÍCULO 29.- Las bolsas de valores tienen por objeto facilitar las transacciones con valores y procurar el desarrollo del mercado respectivo, a través de las actividades siguientes:
I. . Establecer locales, instalaciones y mecanismos que faciliten las relaciones y operaciones entre la oferta y la demanda de valores;
II. Proporcionar y mantener a disposición del público información sobre los valores inscritos en bolsa y los listados en el sistema internacional de cotizaciones de la propia bolsa, sobre sus emisores y las operaciones que en ella se realicen;
III. Hacer publicaciones sobre las materias señaladas en el inciso inmediato superior;
IV. Establecer las medidas necesarias para que las operaciones que se realicen en ellas por las casas de bolsas o especialistas bursátiles, se sujeten a las disposiciones que les sean aplicables;
V. Certificar las cotizaciones en bolsa; y
VI. Realizar aquellas otras actividades análogas o complementarias de las anteriores, que autorice la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público, oyendo a la Comisión Nacional de Valores.
