The Apache Software Foundation provides support for the Apache
community of open-source software projects. The Apache projects are
characterized by a collaborative, consensus based development process, an
open and pragmatic software license, and a desire to create high quality
software that leads the way in its field. We consider ourselves not simply
a group of projects sharing a server, but rather a community of developers
and users.
You are invited to participate in The Apache Software Foundation. Our
membership
consists of those individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to
collaborative open-source software development through sustained
participation and contributions within the Foundation's projects. Of
course, you can contribute to the foundation in many ways:
If you would like to keep up with news and announcements from the
foundation and all its projects, you can subscribe to the new Apache
Announcements List.
We hope you all had an excellent time at ApacheCon 2004 US in Las Vegas.
Please make plans to join us in Stuttgart, Germany on July 18-22, 2005 for
ApacheCon Europe 2005.

Working Group last call for comments, the Apache Software Foundation

open letter detailing why the patent licensing of the Sender ID
specification will prevent ASF projects from implementing and deploying
software that supports the Sender ID specification.
The Apache Portable Runtime
Project (APR) is proud to announce the release of APR version 1.0.1.
APR's mission is to create and maintain software libraries that provide a
predictable and consistent interface to underlying platform-specific
implementations. Please see the announcement
and feel free to download
