Lareine was created in 1994 by the vocalist Kamijo, and the guitarist Mayu, together with a drummer and another guitarist.
In 1995, Emiru joined the band as their bassist. In this year they had their first live, released two demo-tapes, and also Machi joined Lareine as their drummer.
In 1996 they released several demo-tapes, and in December they released their first mini-album entitled "Blue Romance".
Then in 1997 they released another version of "Blue Romance", with 8 tracks instead of the 5 of the first version.
The year 1998 was full of concerts. In March they released another demo-tape, and later their singles "Fleur" and "Metamorphose".
1998 was the birth of their official fanclub, called as the single "Fleur", who means "flower" in French.
1999 was full of concerts too, and they released some singles, like "Fiancailles", "Billet", and "Fuyu Tokyo".
All these songs were on the album "Fierte no umi to tomo ni kyu", but this album wasn’t released until 2000.
Next 2000, on August 6th, Emiru, Mayu and Machi decided to leave the band.
Emiru's reason was musical differences, and Machi and Mayu didn’t want to play in an incomplete band, so they quit too.
But Kamijo didn't want to finish this band, and continued by himself.
Although he was alone now, in the same year he released a single, and the album "Scream" (with a limited edition called ”Vampire Scream”).
But in 2001, Kamijo also stopped working on Lareine, putting the band on a break.The members worked on their own projects and bands now.
After two years after their hiatus, in November 2002, a new CD single was released, "Chou no Hana". All the former Lareine members participated on it.
All Lareine's member come back except Machi, so they found a new drummer, Kazumi.
In the following two years they released some singles and four completely new albums! Their last release was the album "Never cage" in September 2004.
In March 2005 the band played a special concert because of their 10-year anniversary. The fans that went the concert received a special memorial DVD.
