The night exterior in "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" with the
house surrounded by plants is the one Janet Kusnick
worked on at David Stipes' effects shop
The final morning scene of plants growing along the road was painted
by Jim Danforth at his own shop.
There's a painting in the "Something to Tide You Over" segment
made by Janet Kusnick.
Dan Curry and David Stipes made the matte art on
"The Crate" rock quarry sequence.
Extract from some comments by Jim Aupperle at http://www.stopmotionanimation.com/
"In "The Crate" segment there's a painting of the rock quarry with
a pool of water at the base of the shot. The center part of the rock wall
was a rear projected live action plate and the rocks were extended to both
side through a matte painting. I don't remember being involved with photographing
the painting on that one but I did assist in filming the miniature water
element so that's how I know the shot was done through David Stipes."
