  LOVE ME DO

PARLOPHONE R 4949
SILVER COLOURED LABEL

LOVE ME DO
P. S. I LOVE YOU

RELEASE DATE: APRIL 1993

A company called VIDEOTEX, from Holland, gave anyone that might be a future costumer this record, released by EMI in April 1993, in a special packed format pressed in a limited number of about a thousand copies. The single was the copy of "LOVE ME DO" / "P.S. I LOVE YOU" (R 4949 Mono), in the UK version with silver coloured label. The record was sent in an envelope with a letter inside. In this added letter They gave the story about what happened with Dick Row (the man who turned down The Beatles for Decca). EMI made a fortune with the same group, just a few months later, and the rest is known. The Videotex company compared their product with this story, convinced that it is a winner. Those who returned their special coupon also could obtain a free CD of The Beatles.
