Course Objectives:

• Learn how an individual can and must take responsibility for the environment and help others to do the same.
• Develope a critical thinking (scientific) approach to environmental problems and solutions.
• Actively search out and participate in real-world solutions to environmental issues.

Expectations:

• show up
• be on time to class (3 tardies result in Sunday detention)
• bring your text book to class everyday
• absolutely no eating or drinking in class
• use restrooms before or after class
• practice proper "Derech Eretz"
• have a note for everything
• each student is responsible for a $25 lab fee due by October 1, 2002
• each student will be issued a brand new text book. you need to get a cover for your book, and you need to return it at the end of the year without markings or damage - in like-new condition. You will be held responsible for the condition of the book.
• there will be periodic quizzes at the beginning or end of class periods.
• do your homework assignments. they will be available from the web site if you are absent from class.
• participate in class discussions
• learn, grow, ask questions, and have fun
