Big Byte is a top language school, which provides a “Whole Language Learning Environment” in Taipei City, Taiwan. Children are divided into different groups by ages and years of English/French learning background. Each class includes 12 students. Everyone in the school speaks English or French not only during class time but break time. We invite you to take a look at our job description shown below:
*Job Requirement: The position is opening for: 1.Native English speaker with Bachelor Degree or above 2.teaching young children experience 3.TESL/TEFL certificate (plus).
*Class Subjects: includes phonics, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, topic themes (Science/Math/ Social skills), creative writing, comprehensive reading and so on.
*School Locations: southern of downtown in Taipei, Taiwan.
*Programs and Class Schedule: 1.Elementary Division (Age 7-12) *5 months of fall semester (from Sep. 1 to Jan. 31) *5 months of spring semester (from Feb. 1 to June 30) *2 months of summer school (from July 1 to Aug. 31)
2.Pre-school Division (Age 2-6) *6 months of fall semester (from Sep. 1 to Feb. 28) *6 months of spring semester (from March 1 to Aug. 31)
3.French Course students (Age 5-8) French course is taught by a native French speaker. The whole program is for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year learners (both pre-school and elementary school).
*1 year Contract with Work Visa: 1.Passports: could be extended locally by teachers after arriving Taiwan (ARC is valid at least a year or above). 2.Landing Visa: is not applicable to receive WP/ARC.
*Tax and Insurance: Tax: *20%: The first 183 days of staying in Taiwan *10%: After the 183 days *6%: is the eventual tax rate after annual tax refund. *Tax Refund: applied by teachers in March annually.
Insurance: 1.By law, all teachers must joint the National Health Insurance (NHI) program. 2.Group Insurance is only for long-term teachers.
*Curriculum: is provided by levels and covered by many subjects.
*Training: school offers Orientation, pre-job training, pre-limitary workshop, and on-job subject training.
*Bonus and Welfare *Bonus is offered to the teachers who have early renewal of contract, fully attendance and first year of pre-school class of Age 3 kids. *Welfares (only for Chinese holidays): 1.Christmas break (10~12 days) from 2nd year December 2.Chinese New Year (10~14 days) February 3.One month unpaid vacation July or August (part-time teachers from 2nd year of employment) *Life Support Kits will be received upon Arrival.
