The ARIZONA SCHOOL of ENGLISH (ASE) in Los Mochis Mexico is currently seeking to fill three fulltime TEFL teaching positions. We are looking for mature, enthusiastic and motivated individuals that are looking to experience the Mexican culture firsthand. ASE was founded in May of 1995. Current enrollment stands at 700 with 25 teachers and assistants on staff. We currently offer English, Spanish, and French classes. Our children's and teen classes are grouped by age and level beginning at 5 years of age to 17 years of age. All of our children's classes have a maximum of 15 students. Each children's class also has an assistant teacher to help with the class. Adult and teen classes have a maximum of 10 students. Curriculum and teaching materials are set and provided by the school. Looking at a map of Mexico, Los Mochis is located almost exactly due East across the Sea of Cortez from the tip of Baja California. The city is situated on the main interstate highway running North and South along the coast. By car, Los Mochis is approximately 8 hours from the nearest U.S. border crossing which is Nogales, Arizona. The city is home to about 250,000 people with an additional 250,000 people living in the surrounding communities Los Mochis in many ways has all the characteristics of a small town. The city is normally very quiet and in fact it seems nearly deserted from 1pm to 4pm every afternoon as most businesses close for lunch and "siesta time". REQUIREMENTS: LANGUAGE: Native English Speaker AGE: 23 years of age or older EDUCATION: B.A./B.S. or equivalent (any area) MINIMUM CONTRACT LENGTH: Six months EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION: minimum one-year teaching experience and/or appropriate TESL certificate such as RSA Celta, TESOL or equivalent.
