Our college is looking for an English Supervisor to manage and coordinate our English program. Our students are young Chinese adults (completed high school) aged between 18-35 who are doing their 2-year Canadian diploma programs with us. Our English program's main objectives are to

1. ensure that our students are able to attain a good level of English proficiency to enable them to secure good employment with foreign or joint venture enterprises

2. ensure that our students are able to pass the minimum requirement of international testing standards such as TOEFL or IELTS, so as to facilitate their further education overseas

The incumbent must be able to develop, update and upgrade our existing curriculum so as to achieve the above objectives. Further the incumbent must also be able to manage a team consisting of 2 to 4 full time and part time English teachers. In addition the English Supervisor is also expected to teach between 20-24 hours per week.

The right candidate must be open-minded and adaptable to a new and challenging environment, self-motivated, and willing to commit to a 2-year teaching contract.

QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES DESIRED:

Candidates are required to satisfy the following criterion: · minimum degree qualified · TEFL/TESOL certification · Experience in TOEFL/IELTS will be a strong advantage · teaching experience of not less than 3 years · prior experience in China preferred but not necessary · Open-mindedness with "can-do" attitude · Under 50 years of age
