The English Friend's Academies http://www.tefa.net

The English Friend's Academy Home Schools are located in northern Seoul, in To-bong Ku. Surrounded by scenic mountains with excellent hiking trails, they are close to major department stores, movie theaters and parks. Our other schools are located in residential areas in Seoul. All are located on the city perimeter. All are near major department stores, movie theaters, and recreation sites.

Now, the above will be true for almost any school in Seoul. Korea is 74% mountains. 44,000,000 people live in about 26% of the total land area. In other words, the citizens of South Korea, all 44 million of them live in a land area about the size of Rhode Island.

In Seoul, you will find any of the normal conveniences you may expect to find in a major Western city. However, out of Seoul, while not the Korea of M.A.S.H., you will find that there are fewer Western type attractions.

With nine (9) schools, the English Friend's Academy has a combined student body of about 1,800. Our 25 native teachers come from Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and the US, and we also have over 40 Korean teachers on staff. The curriculum is well founded, making use primarily of the Let's Go series for elementary students, the Exploring English series for middle and high school students, and the Interchange series for our adult students. Native teachers may teach all ages, but the focus of our classes is always on building conversation skills.

Now, what makes us different than all of the other schools you will find advertised on the Net? First of all, we care about education. We are not an Entertainment facility. We are an Educational facility. We care about our students and we want to give them the best English Language Education we can. Second, we listen to our teachers. As in any company, the answer may not always be yes, but we do listen. Third, at TEFA we try to meld the cultures of both the East and West into one whole. We are not a Korean Team and a Western Team, we are the TEFA Team. We work together to bring enrichment to our students. In other words, we may not be the biggest in Korea, but in Education, we are the best.
