The city is Lecce - capital of its own province which is the heel of Italy. Lecce is 11 kms from the Adriatic coast and 35 kms from the Ionian coast and enjoys a typical Mediterranean Climate. The school is an AISLI school and UCLES authorized centre, founded twenty years ago. The work consists of teaching EFL to children, teenagers and adults from beginners to advanced level. The average class size is ten but there are exceptions in either direction with contract classes and there are a number of one to one classes. We are presently looking for: - 2 heads of section a) General Courses b) Children who should have a minimum of 5 years post-Cert experience and preferably have a Dip. Salary 1.600.000 It Lit. per month; 20 contact + 5 admin hours per week; - 1 Senior Teacher for our satellite school in the province. Salary 1.400.000 It Lit. per month; 20 contact + 5 admin. hours per week; - 1 Team Leader for the children’s section who should have at least 2 years post-Cert experience with children and be primary trained. Salary 1.400.000 It Lit. per month; 22 contact + 3 admin. hours per week; - 1 Primary trained teacher who could dedicate hours to both the elementary school students and the EFL children’s groups. Salary 1.300.000 It Lit. per month; 25 contact hours; - up to 10 post-Cert or post-Cert + one year’s experience teachers. Both at 25 contact hours per week and on salaries of 1.200.000 It Lit. and 1.300.000 It Lit. per month respectively. Teachers are required to arrive on 1st October 2000 and to take part in a week-long induction course of 30-40 hours including Italian lessons. Lessons will begin Monday 9th October but contact hours are not likely to be at maximum initially. Prospective teachers will be shown a copy of the school rules at interview and required to sign these prior to taking up their post and adhere to them throughout the contract.
