~ PASSAGE 32 ~
REUNION

Aramil trailed the team silently, his face troubled by the news they had just heard. As the squad left the jailhouse behind and walked westward through the square, the mage commented quietly
" It seems odd that no sooner had we arrived here, that spy was caught, and then our warrior outside the city has been killed."
Torynth stated blandly " The spy wasn't who we were looking for."
Gailwind spoke enigmatically " Yet he revealed many unanswered questions about Tolx. I wonder what they plan to do with him."

Oktavianus was riled by the news of another 'Raven" death and barked about the necessity of team unity. He mumbled nothing but dwarven oaths all the way to the west side of town.

4 PM: The armory seemed deserted when the team got there. The gates were left sparsely tended and the gates unlocked.
Gailwind quailed " Wha, what is this? No security?? Where is the constable?" Before any could say more, a Tolxen sentry stepped from out of the armory.
" If you are looking for Alyen, he is not here. He and the rest are tending to a disaster out at the edge of the swamp." The bowman seemed very worried " I have orders to escort your party to your companions. Follow me."

Without protest, the group followed the lone bowman out of the township and onto Swamp Road. He beckoned the party northwest over very muddy terrain.
" Scouts have located your team out in the fens. Very dangerous for them to be there!"

5 PM: The distance wasn't far, yet the venture was long. The group slogged through ankle mud and over twisted roots that reached waist-high at times. They reached drier ground eventually, and the bowman strided past the shagbarks coming to a distinct clearing. Letting the team pass by him one by one, they finally witnessed the tragedy only heard hours earler. Up ahead, standing before a clay grave, was Teflar, Gulius and Nerendil. Dirty spades lay at their feet and Vaedamir was nowhere in sight.

The trio watched sombrely as the team reunited upon the fen's highground. Gulius hung his head low in sorrow.
The bowman said onto all " Pardon my quick exit, but a tragedy has befallen Tolx this day. I must hasten to the crossroads. I trust you will all find your way out backtracking." With a nod, the guard departed leaving StarPoint Raven to ponder the second death of their party.

Torynth, after a moment of silence, approached the grave site " How did it happen?" None of the others spoke; their faces mirrored with shock and puzzlement.
