RAVEN SWARM
Teflar lunged forward slicing his blades in a precisioned whirl. His longsword slashed open the troll's knee and the beast countered with a lacerating uppercut that shredded through the ranger's body. The woodsman flew backwards down the hill and lay there bleeding and motionless.
The paladin struck out with his longsword and guarded against the troll pouncing upon the ranger and fighter's prone bodies. From out of nowhere, Torynth flew through the air landing a stunning sidekick into the lower back of the troll. The beast stood there in a daze as projectiles, fired by the druid and bard, pierced and pommelled its' slick hide in rapid succession. For a few precious moments the group had a chance to survey the scene; two more of their group were possibly dead and their lorist severely injured.
" We must burn it!! If he moves, hammer him!" yelled Hebron as he gathered the two strewn oil flasks and poured them evenly over the downed troll.
With a spark of struck flint, the archer lit the monster on fire.
Aramil ran to the ranger and examined him " He's alive, but bleedng profusely."
Leah confirmed the fighter dwarf " Our Gulius is dead! My goodness!"
Splendor poured the sage's elixir into Gailwind's mouth and pulled out the lodged arrow in succession.
" My good friend, hang with us!"
The sage moaned and lay there in a limp state.
From the northern forest across the pond, sounds of brush crackled; something large was moving through and heading slowly towards the party!
Nothing was heard except the fury of battle upon that hill
and the team was resigned to kill or BE killed.
The paladin struck hard slicing apart the troll's midsection as another crossbow bolt sank deep between its' eyes.
GROOOORRR!! The monster groaned as it tried to make sense of its' surroundings. The monk landed a severe elbow to its' spine toppling the monster over into the earth in a comatose state. Hebron ran from the cave and sank an arrow deep into the monster's head.
