You open the second door and shade your eyes from the bright sun. In the shade of a large maple tree, you see miles of rolling hills, waterfalls, and a river. There is a forest behind you, and you see the door back to the shop in an oak tree trunk. As a cloud covers the sun, you see a herd of horses grazing near the river. A closer inspection proves them to be unicorns, graceful and beautiful in their movement and looks. They are all different colors, and are lead by a jet black stallion with a metalic horn. His mate is a Sapphire mare with a white mane and golden horn. A heavy aura surrounds them, and you can sense the respect they diserve easily. As you sit in the grass and watch them, the blue mare comes over to you. You give her a pat on the muzzle, and follow her back to the herd, who seems to welcome you warmly. There is a rose colored mare watching over the foals. Nearby, there is a message carved into a rock. It reads:
"You are welcome to adopt one of these unicorn foals. Only one. Should you take more than one, take without permission, or abuse it, I reserve the right to promptly run you through. Signed,
Raven"
You glance over and see the lead stallion looking at you. A chill runs down your neck. He has a menacing glare and you see the bloody red in his eyes. You decide quickly that you will take wonderful care of the unicorn you adopt. |
