Tex Avery

Tex Avery started out drawing cartoons at the age of thirteen when he was enrolled in high school. He later began to do the background for the Oswald Rabbit series. He finally found his way into Warner Brother's Studios for higher pay by working on "Termite Terrace" with his artist buddies including Chuck Jones. This led him to discover his own technique and paved the way for cartoons.

In his later years, he developed such characters as the Showgirl, the Wolf and Bugs Bunny. The Showgirl is a parody of a stereotype. Bugs Bunny later developed with Chuck Jones.
