WE MADE THE FRONTPAGE
COOLOUT 2GX IN
SEASPOT
Coolout 2G Media has had the esteemed position of documenting the hottest talent Seattle has to offer for more
that a decade. We documented the rise of Seattle’s first hip hop star Sir Mix-a-lot and we were there when our
electronic "Glaudefather" Donald Glaude was known in the rave circuit as the Dominator. From the young Mary J.
Blige at the Belltown to the Leaders of the New Skool at RKNDY we have seen and documented it all--and
we have loved every minute of it.
As we watch our archives grow and see the scene bursting at the seams, we realize that things are about to explode
once again. Cats are doing things--big things. Oldominion, Livio, Boom Bap Project, DJ NAHA, Unexpected Arrival,
Jimmy Hoffa, Nocturnal Rage, DJ Nitsuj, and too many more to name are about to stamp Seattle on the wrist with
permanent ink. Mark my words, 2003 is the year. Don’t sleep on Seattle! - Georgio Brown

SUPPORT THE PURPLE ROSE CAMPAIGN
The choice to leave one’s home is not one that is made freely. Some Filipinos are compelled to work in foreign
countries for economic reasons, most of the time, for reasons of sheer survival. Overseas Filipinos invariably send their earnings
to support families back home, who are crucially dependent on this income.
The Gabriela Network is working on ways to end the export of labor as an economic strategy and demands genuine development
through self-reliant industrialization.

It is a very sad time in HipHop as we've learned that Jam Master Jay of Run DMC was murdered. Jam Master Jay inpired millions of people to get involved in HipHop and take our music to the heart of mainstream America. Please be wary of many news reports that are biased, reporting on stories of negativity. JMJ was a very positive man that had his ear to the street. It is truly unfortunate that we are now living in a time in which even legends can die. Jam Master Jay was not only a DJ for Run-DMC and the creator of the Scratch Academy, but was a son, husband and father. .

On April 4th, 1991 an innovative new show debuted on TCI, Viacom and Summit Public Access Channel 29. W
hat started out as Club Coolout, a college student’s idea to bring people together through a shared love of music
evolved into a television show about Hip Hop Culture. Armed with a talent bank of Seattle vocalists, dancers, actors,
musicians and aspiring artists The Coolout Network spotlighted Seattle’s underground music alongside international
talent at a time when no one was shining light on the scene.

Aznraps.com Audio Compilation entitled "No Looking
Back".
"At first I thought that this was going to be one of those albums that sucked worse than the darkest of blackholes--granted
it had its weak moments...but so do most albums. The hottest of this 16-track, 12-artist rap CD comes through on cuts
like Maniak Sypha Crew's "Beyond Werdz," Noose's "Part of My Nature," Fresco Tee's 'Xcape," Kast One's
"Guaranteed Like That" and Infinite Limit's "Asian Love (featuring Diemy Bu)." This CD made me realize that I grew
a little biased--I didn't use to be--but now I'll think twice before I underestimate the creativity of a hip hop hed.
Aznraps.com Word on tha street is that Volume 02 should be out sometime in December!?! which makes Vol. 01 a
collectors item! Futuredood sez when they sold out, they gone! Buy
the CD HERE.
Filipinas Not For Sale! End the Export of Filipinas! More than half a million men and women leave the Philippines every year
to work overseas. For women, this work consists primarily of ‘unskilled’ and poorly paid jobs like domestic work and prostitution.
The ‘mail-order bride’ industry is also a significant factor in this export of women. In many cases, living in a foreign
country entails cultural alienation, discrimination and often, physical abuse.
