Sue Bird and the Seattle Storm Had the Final Dance Tonight.

There is no words to describe Seattle's win against Portland at Key Arena tonight! It was a must win game for the Storm and they did it. Sue Bird could not pick a better day to score her season high of 33 points! The sold-out crowds were on their feet cheering for their team. What a game!

As a storm fan, I wish I could be there to witness and be part of such an electric night. Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson, two young players carried their team to victory! Bird scored 33 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds while Jackson scored 23 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks. The rest of the team were there to contribute little things that summed up into a big victory.

On the other hand, Jackie Stiles who has been struggling this year came out strong for Portland with 18 points, and Tamicha Jackson almost carried her team into the playoff with 16 points and 5 assists. They somehow did not do a good job on guarding Sue Bird, or they simply could not keep up with her.

With this win, Seattle has put themselves in a position where they have never been before. It might be new for the Storm, but Sue Bird has been there. It was more like her days back at UConn, where she led the team undefeated. She is in her comfort zone! However, it is not the time to celebrate as yet. They will face the Utah Starzz on Sunday and try to secure the #4 playoff spot. It will not be easy since they have lost their last two meetings against Utah, but they will have the home court advantage, and needs one more win to secure their playoff spot. It should be another great night for Storm fans at Key Arena.

GO STORM!!! PLAYOFF AWAITS!!!
