Quick Milk Tart

I buy the premade graham's cracker pie shells but the recipe for pastry is as follows:

PASTRY:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 125g margerine
  • 1 egg
  • salt
  • 2 tsps baking powder

    Cream marg & sugar. Add rest of ingredients & mix well.
    Press pastry into 2 pie plates & bake @325 F for 10 minutes.

    FILLING:

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tbl margerine
  • 2 & 1/2 tbl flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbl cornflour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 & 1/2 tsps vanilla essence

    Boil milk & margerine.
    Mix the rest of the ingredients to a smooth paste and add to boiling milk.
    Return to heat and stir till thick.
    Pour into pie shells and sprinkle with cinnamon and allow it to set.
